Oxford will open its doors to visitors and locals alike for its Annual Christmas on the Creek activities. Events kick off on Friday, 2 December, with Gospel Music and Caroling at Waters United Methodist Church. There will be refreshments and a 10-50% Sale ongoing at the Treasure Chest on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You won’t want to miss stopping by for some early Christmas Treasures for your friends and loved ones!
On Saturday, there is a bevy of activity, starting with the Christmas Bazaar at the Holy Trinity Church from 9-12, and the Oxford Library will have books for sale as well! Plenty of opportunities to get in on the early shopping and buy local! Tired of shopping? Stop by Mystery Loves Company Booksellers and check out the special book signing by Alexandra Deutsch, as she discusses “A Woman of Two Worlds” from noon until 3 pm. Then it’s a quick step across Morris Street to the Oxford Market, where Wine and Cheese Tastings will be featured from 3-6 pm. You can then stay for the arrival of Santa Claus in the Oxford Park and the Official Tree Lighting at 5:30 pm. Get warm at the United Methodist Church Homemade Soup Supper, and their Tree, Wreath, and Craft Sale from 5-7 pm. Finish the evening at the Robert Morris Tavern, featuring Claire Anthony Folks Music.
We have Santa Claus joining us at the Firehouse Breakfast on Sunday, 4 December, and Mystery Loves Company has a Special Christmas Tea from 1-4 pm. If you didn’t get a chance to stop in the Treasure Chest, they are open from 10-4 pm and will feature their 10-50% sale with refreshments. Lots to do with your friends and family! Please join in on the holiday activities and come see why we love it here!
