St. Michaels Family YMCA once again offered a weeklong day camp in which camp participants help local artist, Jen Wagner, create a mosaics project for a local business.
This year’s camp created a beautiful mosaic mural for Justine’s Ice Cream Parlor, which is owned and operated by Kathleen Lash. Kathleen was delighted to have the YMCA campers create a mural for her store in St. Michaels. At the mural presentation at Justine’s, Kathleen provided an ice cream party for everyone involved in the creation of this mural as a token of her thanks.
The artists responsible for the Justine’s mural include: Brennen Cohee, Arden Dukehart, Schuyler Gary, Brandon Kealy, Ryleigh Kealy, and Jayda Omohundro (all pictured).
This is the YMCA of the Chesapeake’s third year offering summer day camp programs at the St. Michaels Family YMCA. Camps are offered for children ranging in ages from 3 – 12 years and in a variety of specialty areas including art, cooking, dance, science, cheerleading, exploration and LEGO creations.
If you would like more information on summer camps available at the St. Michaels Family YMCA, please contact Tracy Cohee, Branch Executive Director, St. Michaels Family YMCA.
