One of the highlights of the Tech Transfer symposium that took place at Chesapeake College a few weeks ago was the remarkable story of Cambridge International based in Cambridge Maryland. The world’s largest manufacturer of metel belting and wire cloth, the hundred year old company is proud of their ability to adapt and grow under the most extraordinary of circumstances, even from their rural location on the lower Eastern Shore.
Dion Banks, director of government relations at Cambridge, walks through the company’s unique approach to tech transfer and how they anticipate the need new technology and invest resources and netowrking opportunities to capture those patents.
