Master guitarist and songwriter Curt Heavey performs Thursday, September 1 at Muskrat Park in St. Michaels. A gifted songwriter, he has also transcribed dozens of piano compositions for solo guitar, including the works of Bartok, Bach, Satie, Brahms, and Prokofiev. Heavey is a recipient of NPR’s Composer’s Symposium Award. He currently performs and records as lead guitarist of Anne Watts and Boister, with whom he has collaborated in composing original scores for four classic silent films.
“He is truly one of the most unique guitar players I’ve every heard, utterly world class.”
– Jim Dickinson, Producer, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones
