Naval Architect and sailor, Ken Court will be the guest speaker at the April 2, 2012 Brown Bag Lunch at the St. Michaels Branch of the Talbot County Free Library at noon. Ken’s voyage covered 28,000 miles from Hawaii to the Chesapeake Bay via the Red Sea. His adventures along the way and in particular the people he met are the subject of his show.
Court has worked in a variety of jobs from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard to Westinghouse Oceanic Div designing submersibles. His last big job was moving the Knapp’s Narrows Bridge to the CBMM parking lot. In 2001-2002 he with other volunteers rebuilt the Byron House at Pickering Creek. Ken and his wife live in Easton.
Patrons are invited to bring their lunch and enjoy coffee and sweets provided by the library. Library programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org.
