New Community Children’s Chorus

July 24, 2017 by Spy Desk

Share

The Allegro Children’s Chorus will be launched on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the Fall of 2017.  The Chorus will provide a superior music education and choral experience for youth in grades 4-12 with two groups, a junior chorus grades 4-7, and a senior chorus grades 8-12.  All youth in Talbot, Dorchester, Caroline, Kent counties, and surrounding areas are invited to sing.

Singers will gather weekly for rehearsals at Trinity Cathedral in Easton and prepare music for seasonal and community events. The Children’s Chorus will be under the direction of Amy Morgan, who holds music degrees from Salisbury University and Messiah College and serves as Music Director of Trinity Cathedral.

Participants will pay a fee of $125 each semester, September-December and February-May and will be provided with concert attire.  Full scholarships are available through Allegro, a music outreach program at Trinity Cathedral in Easton.

An open house for families will take place August 7-10 and August 14-17.  For more information, contact Amy Morgan at 410-603-8361 or [email protected].
