Open Letter to Talbot County Council on Final Comp Plan by Len and Ann Wolf

I am writing to you on a matter that is incredibly important to me and my family, and about which I am intensely passionate.

A lifetime of dreams are finally being realized for our family in and around our home in Royal Oak. These dreams are undoubtedly threatened by the inevitable change in the character and nature of the community we have come to love, and in which we have invested both heart and treasure.

It is for this reason that I so strongly implore you to support the amendment to the 2016 Comprehensive Plan recently offered by Councilmembers Dirck Bartlett and Laura Price, amending Parts I and II, sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.13, 2.14, 2.16 and 2.19 by changing the word “should” to “shall” in the aforementioned sections.

The amendment provides the clarity of intent, and transparency in verbiage that is necessary in these sections and are undoubtedly supported by a very large number of County residents that are impacted by the new CP.

News takes awhile to spread and so many residents of Royal Oak are just now mobilizing to protect the very unique character of our community and to preserve that uniqueness for ours and future generations of our families, and so many others who could enjoy and cherish that uniqueness in years to come. I encourage you to join your constituency in this effort.

With much appreciation and respect for your service,

Len and Ann Wolf
Royal Oak, MD

I could not agree more strongly that the sentiments in this letter are right on target!
