Paintings of Sandy Alanko on Display at Visual Arts Center

The Talbot County Visual Arts Center Will be presenting the paintings of Sandy Alanko for the Month of May . This show will begin on May 4 for the first Friday Gallery wall. There will be a reception at the Art Center.

The paintings of Sandy Alanko reflect her love of the natural world, its wildlife and wild places. She finds endless inspiration in the salt marshes, fields, woods and harbors that surround her island home. She works in watercolor, acrylic, pastel and oil, depending on the visual effect she is trying to render.

Sandy has a master’s degree in fine art, studied Renaissance art in Florence, Italy, and taught art in public and private schools for over thirty years. She shows and sells her work locally, regionally and internationally.

She is a member of the St. Michaels Art League and a signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society. You may contact her at [email protected] or call 410 886-2649. See more of her paintings at stmichaelsartleague.org/alanko.

Sandy Alanko will also be returning to the Talbot County Visual Arts Center to do a workshop in June. This workshop will be June 18 to the 22nd and will run from 10 AM until 12:30 PM. You will find more information about this workshop in the near future.
