The Tidewater Camera Club is pleased to present Photographer, Brian J. Zwit for a
Presentation, “Macro Photography” on Monday, December 7th, 2015 from 7 to 9 PM in the Talbot County Community Center’s Wye Oak Room. Mr. Zwit is a nature and outdoor photographer based in northern Virginia who is obsessed with capturing the elegance and majesty of unique landscapes, wildlife, and flora throughout the United States. He believes that one purpose of photography is to reveal the unseen and that no other genre of photography reveals more of the unseen as macro and close-up photography. Mr. Zwit will explain the differences between macro, close-up, and other forms of photography. He will discuss equipment and techniques useful for capturing a powerful macro or close-up image. Mr. Zwit will also share five ideas for unusual subjects that the audience can photograph inside this winter, thus avoiding the cold and wet weather. The Public is encouraged to attend.
Mr. Zwit’s images are in private residences and corporate offices and have been used in regional magazines and corporate publications. He teaches workshops and classes and works with many nature and environmental organizations. He speaks to camera clubs, schools, and other non-profit organizations on creativity and photographic techniques. Mr. Zwit is well known for his ability to distill complex topics into their essences and explain them in simple, easy to understand terms.
Founded in 1963, the Tidewater Camera Club strives to promote interest and participation in photography for all skill levels and ages. For more information, go to www.tidewatercameraclub.org.
