The Tidewater Camera Club is pleased to announce a Presentation by Photographer David Harp on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 7 to 9 PM in the Talbot County Community Center’s Wye Oak Room. His lecture is entitled “Two Rivers, One Perspective: The Nanticoke and Choptank through the camera of David Harp”. Mr. Harp will talk about the process of photographing two very different rivers with his friend Tom Horton. He will show photographs from two of his books, ‘The Nanticoke: Portrait of a Chesapeake River’ and ‘Choptank Odyssey: Stories from a Great Chesapeake River’. He will also discuss the process of publication. Mr. Harp will have books available for sale and signing.” The Public is encouraged to attend.
David Harp operates a corporate and editorial photography business in Cambridge, MD. His magazine credits include The New York Times Magazine, Smithsonian, Audubon, Sierra and Coastal Living Magazine. Dave has teamed with environmental writer Tom Horton to produce four books of photographs and essays on the Chesapeake Bay area. He has also photographed annual reports for multi-national and regional companies. He is a past president of the American Society of Media Photographers, a past member of the Maryland State Arts Council, and is currently on the board of the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy.
