EASTON – Rabbi Peter E. Hyman will be the keynote speaker at the annual Martin Luther King Day breakfast at 8 a.m., Monday, January 20, in the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church parish hall, 100 Peachblossom Road, Easton. There will also be a tribute to Nelson Mandela, the late President of South Africa, delivered by The Right Reverend Joel Marcus Johnson, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of The Chesapeake.
The event is co-sponsored by the Talbot branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the Talbot Association of Clergy and Laity (TACL). Rabbi Hyman is spiritual leader of Temple B’nai Israel in Easton, and is the academic teaching partner of Bishop Johnson.
