The St Michaels High School Varsity Baseball team beat the visiting Snow Hill Eagles 10 to zero in a five inning slaughter rule victory. This was the East Regional, ONE-A Semi-Final match-up. The East Region ONE-A Final game will be held at St Michaels, Baines Field this Friday at 4pm. The Saints will host the winner of the Cambridge South Dorchester – Kent County game played today. Last report Cambridge was winning 5 to 0 in the fifth inning.
Zach Correa was the winning pitcher for the Saints holding the Eagles to two hits with four strike outs.
Once again there were numerous players on the Saints squad with multiple hits.
There was a large crowd at Baines Field this afternoon both Saint and Eagle supporters. They all had the opportunity to sample one of the best hot dogs in TALBOT COUNTY.
These Hot Dogs, sampled by yours truly at every home game, are cooked to perfection by the members of the St Michaels Saints, Sports Boosters. Be sure to grab one the next time you attend a game and tell the Sports Boosters President, LuAnn McKelvey thanks for all the time and effort she donates to the school.
Don’t miss out on all the excitement as the Saints host the ONE-A East Regional Final game this Friday at 4PM. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE – GO SAINTS!
