Sean Spicer, who served as Press Secretary and as Communications Director for President Trump is the keynote speaker at a fall fundraiser sponsored by the Republican Central Committee of Talbot County.
The event will be held on Wednesday evening October 9th at the Tidewater Inn in Easton.
Spicer is also the author of the national best-selling book — Briefing: Politics, the Press, and the President. One reviewer wrote “Once I got started I couldn’t put this book down”. Another wrote “Loved the behind-the-scenes look of the 2016 Trump Presidential Campaign”.
A limited number of tickets for the dinner, for a VIP Reception prior to the dinner and event sponsorships are available on a first come, first served basis. All event attendees will receive a signed copy of Spicer’s book.
For more information on the event, to buy tickets for the event, or to contribute funding to help sponsor the event, go to the Talbot County GOP website — www.talbotgop.org.
In addition to featuring a nationally recognized keynote speaker, this year’s event will include the launch of the Nick Panuzio Distinguished Achievement Award.
Connie Sheer, central committee vice – chair, noted the seed for this award was planted earlier this year during a dinner honoring Nick for his long time service as central committee chair. Nick died soon and unexpectedly after that event. Sheer recalled “we all mourned Nick’s death, but also knew we needed a way to memorialize his life and his legacy. This award is a perfect way to do that”.
Sheer also noted “This award will not only honor a very special person, it will also be handled in a very special way going forward. It will only be presented when an individual matches the high levels of achievement that Nick did during his long and storied career in politics and public service. Plans are to present the first award at next year’s fundraiser.
