It wouldn’t surprise people who know Bob Hockaday that he would be one of the first to give back to his community during the COVID-19 crisis. He and his wife, Julie, been doing it for years.
Ever since they moved to St. Michaels and opened up Guilford and Company on North Talbot Street, Bob realized that they had found a fantastic community. Those were the reasons they rescued the old Acme Store and turned it into the St. Michaels Market or joined the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum board. They both wanted to give back to a county that gave so much for them.
And that is the reason Bob worked with Emily and Ryan Groll at Sprout and donated 240 meals on Wednesday for Shore Regional Health hospital staff.
We caught up with Bob via Zoom to talk about the project.
This video is approximately two minutes in length. For information about Sprout please go here.
Eric L. Werner says
I have had the pleasure of working with Bob and Jule for over 9 years and I must say, it is always a pleasure. The things that they do for the town of St. Michaels speaks more than any words I could write. I will continue to support both of them in whatever capacity I can and I encourage others to do the same. Keep up the great work you two and let us know how we can help.
Be good and stay safe.
