April 30, 2024 by Dave Wheelan

Share

The Spy was pleased that six of the seven candidates running for St. Michaels Commissioner seats in the May 6th election accepted our public invitation to participate in our long-form election profiles project.

Listed below are our interviews with David Breimhurst, Jay Hudson, Bonnie Morris, Alexis Roiter, David Wojciechowski, and Brian Wroten.

We have been using this format for more than a decade as a special way to help inform the community about each candidate’s qualifications, background, and priorities.

Next month’s election will be held for three of the five offices of Commissioner of the Town of St. Michaels, Talbot County, Maryland. The term of office for the three top vote winners is four (4) years, expiring in June 2028. The election will be held at Christ Church Etherton Hall, 103 Willow Street, St. Michaels, Maryland, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Thanks so much to the Spy and all the candidates. As we have heard, despite its relatively small size, because of tourism St. Michaels bears the gifts and the burdens of being the most public facing center of Talbot County; how to be gracious and protective and creative, and how to monetize it all. Godspeed!
