The Talbot County Council will be having its first and only public comment hearing on its 2015 Comprehensive Plan today from 5pm-7pm, at the Talbot County Free Library in Easton. This session will be a public meeting in which the community is invited to make comments on the draft Plan.
In order to make the latest draft available, planning staff has prepared a “red-line” version, indicating Council additions and deletions to the draft plan submitted by the Planning Commission in February, 2015.
Edited chapters have been posted on the Comprehensive Plan webpage in the Planning and Zoning area of the County website. Maps, charts or pictures that are not amended may not be included in the redline draft. Readers may refer to the February Planning Commission draft for comparison.
Following the conclusion of the December public meetings, Planning staff will create a final draft version of the Comprehensive Plan. The County Council will introduce a resolution to introduce, hold an additional public hearing, and vote to adopt the Comprehensive Plan.
The Spy and MCTV will be covering this event
The public is urged to follow the County Council agenda for the schedule to adopt the Plan. Written comments on the draft Comprehensive Plan are welcome at any time, and may be submitted by mail to:
