There is one downtown club that has over 4,000 members, a first class fitness training center, special rooms for discussion groups and game playing, and has become as one of the most popular lunch spots in Easton. There are no membership dues and everyone is accepted upon application. But the hitch is, you have to be 60 years or older to belong the Brookletts Place Talbot County Senior Center.
And at the heart of this extraordinary organization is Childlene Brooks who manages the facility and staff of one of Easton’s most popular and sometimes underappreciated social service institutions.
In her Spy interview, Ms. Brooks talks about the Senior Center’s mission, challenges, and the critical role it plays in the daily lives with aging adults.
