There are approximately four hundred veterans buried in Easton’s Spring Hill Cemetery. And each year, Veterans of Foreign Wars volunteers take on the task of making sure that each one of those graves is marked with an American flag during Memorial Day Weekend.
It is hard not to be moved when seeing the names of the men and women on tombstones who served their country. They are scattered on the Spring Hill grounds, form different centuries and different wars, but united in honor on a beautiful Eastern Shore spring morning.
