A few months ago, the Talbot Spy spend some time with members of the Rotary Club of St. Michaels who had volunteered to help Rev. Clelia Garrity for St. Michaels Christ Church with health care services in the remote Haitian villages of Bondeau and Matel.
During our interview, Rotarians Marcia Hall, Michael Mabe, Rev. Clelia Garrity, Bob Holden, Debbie Collison, and David Shaw (John Marrah, Jerry Quance, and Al Hayward also joined the group) talked about their expectations as they prepared for service is the world’s poorest country.
Now with the group of eight volunteers back in on the Eastern Shore, John Marrah reported back on what the group saw, how they assessed Haiti’s progress, and some of the key highlights after a week of service.
The Spy was able to capture highlights from John’s report.
This video is approximately five minutes in length. To support the Bondeau mission, please contact St. Michaels Christ Church here or the St. Michaels Rotary here.
