St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop has Reopened

July 13, 2020 by Spy Desk

St. Vincent de Paul thrift shop has reopened. Throughout the pandemic the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has continued to provide food and groceries to those in need in our community. This has been accomplished by creating a rolling distribution in our parking lot as our clients pass through and are handed food donations from volunteers. The thrift shop, boutique, and furniture section of the center have remained closed.

Now that the restrictions have been somewhat eased the indoor portion of the center has been reopened. All Covid-19 restrictions have been observed to create a safe environment inside the center. A limited number of clients will be permitted inside at any given time. This includes volunteers who are being held to a minimum to allow for a maximum number of allowable guests at any one time. Entrances for in and out of the center are marked, and a volunteer will be stationed at each door to guarantee compliance.

Since the food distribution has taken up the parking lot, a change in the hours for the center itself has been created. This will allow clients who wish to visit the center to find adequate parking. The new hours for the center are 1-4 on Thursdays (that’s right a different day from previous Tuesdays) and new hours on Saturdays are 1-4 pm. This is a great time to visit the center as discounts abound in the thrift shop, boutique, and furniture sections. The center will accept donations starting Saturday August 1st and each Saturday from 1-4 pm.

St Vincent de Paul can be reached at 410-770-4505. St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Center 29533 Canvasback Drive Easton, MD 21601 Behind Walmart & Giant Food Off of Teal Drive
