Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy will be presenting our second annual Report Card for the Choptank, Miles and Wye Rivers.
During 2011, with our partners Talbot Creekwatchers, we sampled water quality more than 500 times at 80 various sites in the Choptank, its major tributaries, and the Miles and Wye Rivers. Our Riverkeepers, Drew Koslow and Tom Leigh, have analyzed this data and will be presenting the results at the State of the Rivers Presentation.
This information will assist us in better understanding the pollution trends in our rivers, how to better address these trends and will help us improve the health of our rivers.
Prior to the public presentation, your Riverkeepers will host a water quality monitoring volunteer training session at the auditorium beginning at 4:30pm. Anyone interested in becoming a Midshore Riverkeeper Volunteer within our water quality-monitoring program is welcome to attend.
