The 2nd Summer Sing Choir Festival, hosted by Allegro Academy, will take place this July 26, at 7pm.  An intergenerational community choir will be performing Franz Schubert’s Mass No. 2 and Magnificat, and will be joined by featured soloists and orchestra.  The performance will be held at Trinity Cathedral, 315 Goldsborough Street, Easton.  Participants and the audience are invited to attend without charge.  The 2018 Summer Sing featured Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria and attracted a standing-room-only audience of more than 200 people of all ages and backgrounds for the 50-member volunteer chorus.

The Summer Sing Choir Festival is conducted by the Allegro Academy’s Artistic Director, Amy Morgan.  Mrs. Morgan is an accomplished musician whose education includes a Bachelors degree in Piano Performance from Salisbury University and Masters in Choral Conducting from Messiah College.  Mrs. Morgan founded the Allegro Academy in 2017 and has served as the music director at Trinity Cathedral since 2014.

The mission of Allegro Academy is to offer exceptional music education and performance experiences to the greater Talbot County Area and to make these offerings affordable to all.  Its programs include the Allegro Children’s Chorus, Allegro Women’s Chorus, Concert Artists, and private music lessons.  Allegro Academy is supported by the Maryland State and Talbot County Arts Councils and the generosity of our community.  For more information about this program and Allegro Academy, call 410-603-8361 or visit www.allegroacademyeaston.com.
