According to old records a 40 ft.x 20 ft. Quaker school at the Third Haven Meeting was moved to a lot at the corner of Harrison and South Lane in 1779 and continued as a school into the 19th century. Facts: “Easton Album” by Norman Harrington. In 1820 part of this present building was completed and became home to the first chartered School in Easton. It was expanded and by 1866 became the first High School of Talbot County and went through the 10th grade. By the 1880’s it became Easton Primary & Grammar School and remained so until 1933.
