Herman E. Kunze’s Grocery and Liquor Stores were located at 9 West St. And opened in the early 1940’s according to our Archive information. These 2 stores were where the present Library is and faced the back of the Court House.
Evidently you could buy a pickle for a nickel! These shops moved to Federal St. In the late 1940’s. Can you share any information about these stores? Photo from the H. Robins Hollyday Collection at THS.
