The first Bridge was built in the 1660’s where Route 50 now crosses Peachblossom Creek. In 1893 a wooden Peachblossom Creek bridge was built in it’s present location between Easton and Oxford, Maryland! Facts: “ From Pot Pie to Hell & Damnation” by Laurence G. Claggett. This concrete bridge replaced the wooden bridge in the 1920’s. Do you remember when the present Peachblossom Creek Bridge with ample bicycle lanes was built on Route 333?

Dale Greenhawk Jafari says
I was a child when the concrete bridge was replaced with the “new” modern bridge with bike lanes added. The exact year? I can’t be sure. I would venture to say that it was in the early 1970s. If my memory serves me, William “Duck” Bradley was involved in the design and construction.
Emilie Knud-Hansen says
My mother, Fritzi Knud-Hansen and Emory Hertelendy started the campaign to have bike lanes when the two bridges were slated for repairs and/or replacement. I think late 60’s or early 70s. A lot of opposition to it. Duck Bradley was honored for all his work with the Maryland Highway Administration, getting cloverleafs built to ease the crossover traffic on Route 50. He and son Turk had over 60 years in service to MD roads, especially my favorite Oxford Road.
