This Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday photo is of Federal Park between Bay and Federal Streets in Easton, Maryland. Professional baseball came to Easton in the 1920’s, folded during the Depression, was brought back from 1937 to 1941, and then closed down during World War II. In 1946 professional baseball started again in Easton, Maryland as a New York Yankee farm club. In 1948 the Easton Yankees won the Class D professional league Eastern Shore Championship! Facts: “Easton Album” by Norman Harrington 1986.
