While there is still snow on the ground, enjoy this William B. Shannahan Collection photo taken after the April 12 and 13 Blizzard of 1898! Twenty-nine inches of snow fell and Talbot County was isolated until the trains finally got through almost a week later. Twin train engines, pictured here, were needed to pull the Pennsylvania Railroad train through drifts from Clayton, Delaware to Easton, Maryland! Facts: “ Easton Album” by Norman Harrington 1986.
