Talbot Historical Society Project Rewind: The Dukes of Mello

March 13, 2020 by Talbot Historical Society

Share

This band “ Mello Dukes” was formed by senior year students at Moton Jr./Sr. High School on Glenwood Avenue in 1953-1954. Pictured band members are David Brooks at the piano, Nathaniel Trott on the alto saxophone, Hilliard Gardner on the trombone, Horace Smith on the drums, and Walter Black playing tenor saxophone. A special thanks to Walter Black for identifying the band members in this Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday Collection photo!
