The Trappe, Md. Volunteer Fire Company was first established in 1913 by S. Edward Simpson and 4 other unnamed men! In 1927 Trappe Volunteer Fire Company President S. Edward Simpson and Vice President J. Franklin “Homerun” Baker organized an oyster supper that made enough money for the Fire Company to buy their first fire truck!
