Robins Hollyday Collection photo features the Easton Volunteer Fire Department’s steam engine being pulled by two horses heading south on Washington Street. The Easton Volunteer Fire Department purchased this 1896 Silsby Steam Engine in 1916 from the Carlisle, Pennsylvania’s Union Fire Co. No. 1. Facts: Easton Volunteer Fire Department website.
