Join the Friends of the Library for the second annual fundraising event to benefit the Friends of the Talbot County Free Library. The evening will be an opportunity to enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres with the likes of Nick & Nora Charles, Nancy Drew, and Phrynne Fisher. Here is your chance to drink a toast with James Bond, trade insults with Nero Wolfe, and enjoy recalling the adventures of the Hardy Boys. There will be even more of your favorite literary detectives to share their stories with you.
Wine and great food from many of the best local restaurants will be served. Guests will also have a chance to win door prizes provided by local businesses. You can meet and mingle with some of your favorite mystery characters as they circulate among the guests.
The Friends of the Library provide a wide range of services to our local library. Their fundraising programs provide funding for equipment purchases, staff training and educational conferences, book purchases as well as monthly programs for both branches of the Talbot County Free Library.
Tickets for the evening are $50 with advance purchase required. There are five levels of sponsorship if you would like to join others in being a sponsor of this worthwhile event. For more information or to purchase tickets you may contact Susan Sherman at (410) 725-6775 or by email at [email protected]. Additional information is available on the library website: www.tcfl.org. In case of inclement weather the event will take place on Sunday, Feb 1, 2015, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
