Tidewater Rotary proudly announces the return of the fourth annual Bowling Fundraiser, themed ‘World Cup of Bowling,’ on Monday, March 11, at Easton Bowl. Since its inception in 2019, this event has been a cornerstone for fundraising efforts, benefiting organizations like Talbot Humane, The Arc of Chesapeake, and Talbot Goes Purple.
This year, under the theme ‘World Cup of Bowling,’ Tidewater Rotary invites the community to rally behind the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center (ChesMRC) and get into the spirit of the World Cup in support of the Resource Center and their continued work and service for our immigrant community.
With fifteen local businesses already on board, Tidewater Rotary is looking for four to five more sponsors to participate in the event by sponsoring a lane and a country. Last year, 125 bowlers enjoyed the evening festivities, which included 20 frames of bowling, exciting raffles, and food and drinks provided by Easton Bowl.
Prizes will be awarded for Top Bowler, Second Place, Last Place, and Best Dressed Bowler. ChesMRC staff and families will represent Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, and Pakistan, adding a global touch to the event.
“This is going to be an incredible event not only supporting Tidewater Rotary but also benefiting a great organization that does so much for our community for those who come from different cultures around the world,” says Stacia Skinner, President of Creative Training Solutions and Tidewater Rotary Club Member. “The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center’s mission is to empower people from different cultures to become successful and engaged community members. There is no better way to bring camaraderie and fun than a night of World Cup Bowling, supporting a great organization and representing countries around the world. So come and be creative, as only a few lanes are left. Join us and help sell out and support an amazing organization!”
Bowlers and their guests are encouraged to make additional donations and fundraising contributions during the event to support the Resource Center and the good work of the Rotary Club.
