Trena K. Williamson, of Chestertown, has been named director of communications and marketing for Shore Regional Health, according to Patti Willis, senior vice president for strategy and communications.
Williamson had been serving as interim director since last May. Her career in marketing, web design, graphics, social media, and advertising has spanned more than 25 years. During the past decade in the Mid-Shore region, she served as community relations director for Easter Seals Camp Fairlee Manor, account executive with Mullin/Ashley, and creative services manager for the former Chester River Health and Shore Regional Health. In these positions, her work has garnered several professional awards for outstanding accomplishments in the field of health care marketing.
Williamson’s professional activities include serving as past president, Maryland Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (MSHSMD), and as a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. A resident of Chestertown, she served four years on the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission, and was vice chairman of that group from 2011 to this past June.
“Trena’s leadership and guidance have been critical to our successful transition from two health care systems into one,” commented Willis. “Establishing our new, combined identity as Shore Regional Health, in concert with our increased branding under the umbrella of University of Maryland Medical System, is well in progress thanks to her expertise and leadership. Trena has proven herself a strong team leader in our expanded organization, and we look forward to her continued success.”
