The committee for the 37th Annual Firemen’s Auction is pleased to announce the conclusion of another fantastic event. This year’s event raised over $81,000, surpassing last year’s total of $73,000.
The Auction was held Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at Awful Arthur’s St. Michaels to benefit the St. Michaels & Tilghman Volunteer Fire Departments.
In its 37th year, the auction is a key fundraiser for both departments who rely heavily on public support to maintain equipment and provide training to their all-volunteer organizations.
“We are very thankful to the auction committee for their time and effort in putting the event together,” says Jessica Kastel, President of the St.
Michaels Volunteer Fire Department. “It’s wonderful to have a such a great community who are willing to come and support the men and women of the fire departments who volunteer their time.”
The committee has already started planning next year’s event and hopes to have a date and event details in the coming months. Any persons interested in supporting the upcoming event, please contact Arthur Webb at 410.463.0531.
