Good or bad: changes in personality and behaviors often accompany cognition in a dementia syndrome. With more than 5.7 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, this is an issue their caregivers often face. As a professional working working with individuals with dementia, we invite you to attend “Improving Outcomes: Using Behavior Assessments in Dementia” on February 19, 2019 from 8 am to 10 am at Candle Light Cove. This live in-person program will explore the impact of behaviors in dementia and health outcomes so that you may apply these tools to your patient/client base. Evidence-based behavior assessments will be reviewed and discussed.
This event is sponsored by Candle Light Cove Assisted Living Facility, Regent Healthcare: a Home Care Company, Shore Neurocognitive Health and Tidewater Physical Therapy. Social Workers are offered the opportunity for two continuing education credits through Shore Neurcognitive Health. The workshop fee is $25 for social workers requesting credits and offered at no charge to all other attendees.
For more information and to register for this workshop, please visit https://snhealth.net/outcomes. Information on social work credits is also available on the Shore Neurocognitive website.
