Some particularly talented musicians are traveling to Easton this week. The hot blues/soul phenomenon John Nemeth performs two shows at the cool NightCat on Thursday. Friday night brings NYC’s Rebecca Pronsky to the Avalon Theatre’s Stoltz Listening Room
for an evening of honky-tonk & twang, and the whole family will enjoy the US Navy Cruisers with their wide variety of music, Saturday evening outside on Washington St. No air conditioning there, but hey, we’re used to the heat by now, aren’t we?

Saturday, July 30-7pm: US Navy Cruisers perform as part of the Avalon Foundation’s Summer Concert Series. As the U.S. Navy’s
premier contemporary entertainment ensemble, the Cruisers feature eight of the Navy’s most dynamic performers. Formed in 1999 as a specialty unit of the United States Navy Band, the Cruisers are under the leadership of drummer, Chief Musician Leon Alexander. The group takes its name from the Navy’s versatile, flexible, multi-missioned ship – the Cruiser – and the band lives up to their namesake by having the capabilities of playing genres of music ranging from jazz & standards, rhythm & blues, classic rock, adult contemporary and pop as well as original material.
