Talbot Historical Society Project Rewind: Time to Head to Riley’s

August 5, 2022 by Talbot Historical Society

H. Robins Hollyday photographed those who worked at Riley’s BB Diner on E. Dover St., including the owner J. Carson Riley (on the far left) and the chef, unknown, (third from the right). According to the Easton Album by Norman Harrington (1986), ” The B-B Diner on East Dover Street at the triangle near the Pennsylvania railroad station was a 24-hour restaurant that vied with the Oak Hill Diner on N. Washington Street for popularity. Both had facilities for jukebox dancing, and during the 1920’s, the B-B Diner had live music each summer in the ‘garden’ behind its parking lot.” Do you recognize anyone? Do you remember this diner? Let us know!

As always, please contact us if you have any more information about the photograph or any questions:
