Startup Maryland, a regional initiative of the Startup America Partnership, will be hosting a town hall meeting focusing on the Eastern Shore’s entrepreneurial culture at the Cambridge Hyatt, Tuesday May 1.
The goal of the meeting will be to brainstorm about gaps and opportunities specific to the Eastern Shore, while drawing comparison to initiatives made by entrepreneurs across the state.
Guest speaker Brian Murphy, C.E.O of Smith Island Crab Cakes will be there to share the story of his business and journey as an entrepreneur.
Startup Maryland’s meeting is being offered in conjunction with the greater Maryland Economic Development Association’s conference, and all area entrepreneurs or people interested in starting their own business are welcome to attend the sessions free of charge. Also in attendance will be Seth Goldman, “TeaEO” of Honest Tea, and Clarence Wooten, CEO of Arrived, Inc.
The meetings will last from 8 am to 3:30 pm, with the Startup Maryland session beginning at 12:30. Lunch is sponsored by the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurial Center.
