Trappe – On May 25, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a silver in color Chevrolet Equinox for speeding on Ocean Gateway in Trappe, MD. Upon contact with the operator, the Deputy detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted. During the search the Deputy located two small packages of marijuana in a pocketbook belonging to the operator, Brittnee Jeanae Brown-Cox, 21 of Fort Washington, MD. Brown-Cox was issued a criminal citation charging her with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, along with a traffic citation for speeding. Brown-Cox was released upon her signature on the citations.
Easton – On May 25, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to a property damage accident on Miles River Road near Diamond Back Cove Road. Deputies observed a blue Buick passenger car in a roadside ditch. The operator of the vehicle, Adrienne Michelle Shostak, 36 of Easton, MD was found to be intoxicated. After failing roadside sobriety tests, Shostak was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving in a careless and imprudent manner. Shostak was ordered to be released by a District Court Commissioner after processing.
