Local author Pete Imirie will be the guest speaker for the October Brown Bag Lunch on Monday, Oct 3, 2011. The lunch is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and will be held at the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library. The subject will be Pirates,
Children and other such Rascals.
“To Touch the Wind…” is a series of three books designed for cruising families. The series is based around Maryland Tidewater history, children, wee pirates, and even a lighthouse. A fourth generation Marylander, Imirie’s personal experiences on Maryland waters, knowledge of pirates, and stories of coaching athletes from playgrounds to world class arenas, has allowed him to entertain audiences worldwide.
Patrons are invited to bring their lunch; coffee and sweets provided by the library. Library programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org.
