The Christ Church Concert Series continues this Sunday, November 20 at 4:00 p.m. featuring one of Washington DC’s premier chamber trios, Beau Soir Ensemble. Comprised of flute, viola, and harp, the trio is dedicated to the performance of standard and contemporary repertoire spanning a variety of musical genres. The trio regularly performs at venues and acclaimed concert series in the DC and Baltimore area including the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Sundays at Three in Columbia, Harman Center for the Arts, Arts Club of Washington, The Lyceum, Church of the Epiphany, Dumbarton House, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Old Town Hall (Fairfax, Virginia), and The Anderson House. The trio also won the 2014 Montpelier Arts Recital Competition.
As part of its commitment to exposing audiences to contemporary music and new artists, Beau Soir frequently offers performances featuring world and local premiers by various composers. Last season, the trio was proud to present the local premiere of David Bruce’s critically acclaimed “Eye of the Night” and “No Exit” by Don Davis. This season the ensemble will present two additional premieres including Milton Barnes “Harbord Street” and a commissioned arrangement of Scarlatti’s Piano Sonata in D, K. 491 by Dan Reiter.
Known for their exciting performance style and diverse programming, Beau Soir Ensemble continues to attract a strong fan base through its acclaimed performances and unique audience interaction, which includes background, analysis, historical information, and descriptions of performance techniques within each performance. The ensemble’s goal is to make classical music accessible and enjoyable, inspiring a new generation of music lovers.

Christ Church is located at 111 S. Harrison Street in downtown Easton. There is no charge for Sunday’s concert, though a freewill offering will be received.
