Join the Brookletts Place Talbot County Senior Center staff, members and volunteers as they celebrate 10 years in their current building. Dedicated July 2009, the current facility was built under the leadership of the former manager, Jessie S. Caldwell.
The original building was the home of the Old Salt Seafood Company. The Talbot County Government acquired ownership of the property, renovated and opened it in June 1988. The building remained the home to the Center until Mrs. Caldwell and her staff realized that they were outgrowing the building and began the process of seeking funds for a new building. During the building process, the Center relocated to Maryland Avenue.
