Looks like perfect fall weather to stroll Easton’s  streets this Friday for their monthly Gallery Walk. At least three of the galleries have new shows and artist’s receptions. Make an evening of it and stay  for dinner – plenty of terrific options downtown.

Tied Up in Knots, by Jane Hartley (South Street Gallery)

The kids may want to participate in Horn Point’s 5K Spat Dash fun run Saturday morning at 8:30, (best to sign up ahead), but if not, have a leisurely breakfast and then head  out for their annual Open House; fun and educational at the same time. Don’t forget the Oxford Picket Fence auction that evening.

Sunday, the NightCat presents Ms “Midnight at the Oasis” –  Maria Muldaur. We’ll bet all you baby boomers know those lyrics by heart.

Friday Oct 7 –  5 to 9 pm: Easton First Friday Gallery Walk New work & artist’s receptions at least at Troika Gallery, South Street Art Gallery, and Easton’s Promise.

Saturday, October 8 – 10am to 3pm: Horn Point Laboratory Open House This event highlights on-going research at the lab and offers activities for all ages. Learn about Bay investigations as well as global research being carried by the  faculty, as well as  current restoration efforts to enhance the wellness of the Bay. The UMCES research vessel the Rachel Carson will  be available for tours. There will be hands-on-activities and free t-shirts for the kids. This is a free event with plenty of parking on the Horn Point campus.
