The Tilghman Watermen’s Museum has announced the date for SPLENDOR, the museum’s annual fundraising event. This year’s SPLENDOR will be held at the Tilghman Island Volunteer Fire Hall on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM.
As in previous years, SPLENDOR will feature a variety of fine wines, a raw bar, and hors d’oeuvrers provided by Chesapeake Landing Restaurant, Harrison’s Chesapeake House, The Tilghman Island Inn, and Two if by Sea Café.
Award winning, nationally known artist John Barber will assist in the auction of his donation of the limited edition print “Vanishing Fleet” featuring the skipjack STANLEY NORMAN at work on the Bay. Mr. Barber will autograph the print for the lucky winner.
Live and silent auctions will also feature additional art including a John Moll limited edition print of the Wye Oak, framed with wood from the Wye Oak, fishing trips, lighthouse tours on the SHARPS ISLAND, with Capt. Mike Richards and the unique chance to spend a hour with the Knapps Narrow Bridge tender.
